The Quiet Sentinel

2026

Acrylic on a 20"x 16" canvas

A raven stands in quiet watch, surrounded by a soft, atmospheric landscape of layered colour.  Blending realism with expressive abstraction, the painting explores themes of presence, awareness, and the quiet intelligence of nature.  A luminous golden circle behind the bird subtly highlights the raven as a calm and watchful guardian within the scene.

Quiet Presence

2026

Acrylic on 12"x 12" canvas, gold framed

Quiet Presence captures a moment of stillness shaped by both memory and imagination, where land, water, and spirit seem to merge.  The fox, softly rendered with fluid, expressive brushstrokes, stands as both subject and symbol--alert yet calm, grounded yet dreamlike.  Its form dissolves into the surrounding  landscape, suggesting a deep connection to place the unseen rhythms of nature.  In the distance, a small house glows gently against a vast sky, adding a sense of solitude, resilience, and quiet human presence within the wild.  The sweeping textures and layered colours evoke movement and emotion, inviting the viewer to pause, reflect, and feel the hush of a world where everything is alive, watching, and at peace.

Where They Meet

2026

Acrylic on 12"x 12" canvas, gold frame

Where they meet is a softly atmospheric acrylic painting that captures a quiet, almost mythical encounter between a fox and a rabbit within a mist-filled forest.  Emerging from cool blue-green tones and diffused light, the fox's gentle, watchful gaze dominates the composition, its presence both powerful and calm.  Beside it, the small rabbit stands illuminated, rendered with delicate care, suggesting vulnerability yet an unexpected sense of trust.   The blurred trees and glowing haze create a dreamlike setting where the usual boundaries between predator and prey seem suspended.  Through subtle brushwork and a restrained palette, the artist evokes a moment of unlikely peace, inviting the viewer to reflect on coexistence, connection, and the rare spaces where opposites quietly meet.
