Who am I?

I create art as a way to hold onto the small, magical moments that make life feel meaningful. My work blends color, texture, and intuitive mark-making to express emotions that don’t always fit into words. I’m inspired by everyday beauty—the way light shifts across a room, the quiet personality of ordinary objects, the fleeting expressions people don’t realize they’re wearing. I love exploring playful experimentation, allowing the unexpected to shape each piece.

For me, art is a conversation, an invitation for others to slow down, notice, and connect with their own sense of wonder. I hope my work feels warm, approachable, and alive, offering viewers a moment of calm or curiosity in a busy world.

Ultimately, I want my pieces to remind people that creativity isn’t rare or distant—it’s woven into the world around us, waiting to be seen.

About Me

I am mostly self-taught.  During my young adulthood, I had the opportunity to attend art school in Toronto, Canada for a year, where I was able to delve into the world of learning and creation.  Among my favorite classes were still life drawing, figurative art, and the captivating history of art styles.  In 1995, I made the move to the maritmes where i raised my family, worked full time until I retired.  I now dedicate my time to painting and letting my creativity soar.  My preferred mediums are acrylic and gouache. I also use mix media in my works.
